State compliance

The coordinating body for higher education in Virginia, the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) makes policy recommendations to the governor and the General Assembly concerning a variety of state educational priorities.

SCHEV coordinates higher education reporting and planning for all public institutions in the state, including VCU, and publishes valuable data on institutional performance through their research dashboards.

Federal compliance

VCU also complies with various requirements of the U.S. Department of Education. The Office of the Provost coordinates and supports the efforts of the university to ensure compliance with such regulations.
